Mobility-Intro_PIMS

The 5th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) last August 18 to 21 saw thousands of motoring enthusiasts all over the archipelago flock towards the World Trade Center in Pasay City to view and interact with the latest nameplates and technologies the automobile industry has to offer.

Organized and presented by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the event bore the theme “Progress in Motion” to highlight how far the country’s motoring industry has come and how much farther it can go with the support of the public and the government.

The opening ceremony was graced by Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Trade, Industry, and Entrepreneurship. Speaking in front of key officials of CAMPI members and delegates from the ASEAN Automotive Product Working Group, Senator Aquino IV declared:

“This year’s Philippine International Motor Show goes beyond being a world-class motoring convergence, more importantly, it’s a demonstration of how the automotive industry plays a significant role in shaping this nation’s progress.”

CAMPI’s members went all out to display their best wares for the event’s visitors. Tons of announcements and launches were made during the PIMS and in case you didn’t get a chance to visit, here’s a summary of what happened during the country’s most authoritative motoring convergence.
