Axis recently put up their “Time Out of Time” art exhibit at the SM Mall of Asia last November 6 to November 12. It featured not only classic and modern timepieces from the company, but also the latest creations of acclaimed artists Ram Mallari, Buds Convocar, and Salvador Ching, all of which were mixed media works incorporating Axis watches.
The pieces are for sale through a bidding process, with all proceeds up for donation to Children’s Hour, a foundation that seeks to promote child protection, education, health, and nutrition. Supporting the endeavor are media personalities Lucky Mercado and Sam YG of Boys Night Out.
This piece by Ram Mallari is the newest in his discards-turned-art portfolio. His mixed media assemblages from recycled scraps have garnered international attention and praise, with his 2012 METAL REDEMPTION exhibit featured by Thompson Reuters, Yahoo News, Washington Post, NBC News TV, and BBC News Channel.
