Feast your eyes on the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q

Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) recently announced their Swift PG278Q Gaming Monitor. It boasts of a 27-inch WQHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, quick 1ms response time, gamer-centric features, NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, and an ergonomic design to enthrall gamers with smooth and beautiful visuals, and to provide a better and graphically immersive gameplay experience.

The WQHD 2560×1440 display packs a pixel density of 109 pixels per inch. The WQHD panel enables the monitor to pump out better-looking images at four times the resolution of a 720p display. This also provides 77% more screen space to work with compared to similarly sized 1080p displays. Its screen refresh rate of 144Hz can be changed to either 60Hz or 120Hz with a click of the exclusive Turbo key. The included NVIDIA G-SYNC technology is able to deliver excellent gaming visuals as it synchronizes the refresh rate with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU-equipped rig, removing screen tearing, minimizing display stutter, and overall providing a smoother experience with less input lag.

The ROG Swift also features ASUS’ GamePlus hotkey with crosshair overlay and timer functions. Through the former, players can choose from four crosshair designs to suit their gaming environment, and through the latter, they can monitor spawn and build times. On-screen display (OSD) settings can be easily accessed through a 5-way joystick. Included ports are DisplayPort 1.2 for native WQHD output and two USB 3.0 ports for convenient pass-through connectivity.

The aesthetics of the monitor is beautiful and functional. Marathon gamers will appreciate the smart air vents that help keep the display cool through hours of abuse. Bold lines running around the monitor and its base illuminated with a LED Light-in-Motion design gives it a truly futuristic vibe. The whole build is slim and has a super thin 6mm bezel that is very ideal for multi-display gaming. The stand tilts, swivels, pivots, and is height-adjustable to ensure comfortable viewing angles. For the OC gamer, the monitor has a cable-management feature at its back to keep your gaming station orderly and tangled-wire free.

The exquisite and powerful ROG Swift PG278Q Ultimate Gaming Monitor will be available by mid-September and will carry a PHP 45,000 price tag, a wallet-draining amount only the most hardcore of gamers will indulge in.
