The Shenzhen-based technology company, Xiaomi, officially launched two powerful smartphones in the Philippines that raise the bar for mobile photography.
Dubbed as the “Camera Beast”, the Redmi Note 5 employs a dual camera setup, a combination usually adopted only in flagship phone. The main 2-megapixel camera features large 1.4µm pixels, which can capture more light and deliver better results under low-light conditions. Armed with Dual Pixel technology commonly used in professional DSLR cameras. Meanwhile, its front camera sports a 13-megapixel sensor, complemented with an LED selfie light.
At the heart of Redmi Note 5 is a Snapdragon 636 processor that sets a new benchmark for performance while still giving the incredible power efficiency. Clocked at 1.8GHz, the Adreno 509 GPU, and its LPDDR4X DRAM, runs more apps simultaneously which gives fluid multitasking experience. The smartphone also flaunts a 5.99 inch FHD+ 18:9 full screen, large 4000 mAh battery, and the latest MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo.
Combining art and technology, the Mi MIX 2S continues to evolve its design with a ceramic back that has a four sided curved design, transitioning smoothly into the aluminum frame that holds a 5.99-inch FHD+ full screen display. Using the latest Sony IMX363 sensor for its dual-cameras, and Dual Pixel technology for super fast auto focusing, taking photos under low light conditions are now significantly better. Powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 2.8 GHz, with Adreno 630 GPU on board, the phone can load the most demanding games with high graphics.
The Redmi Note 5 will be available for pre-order starting May 15, 2018, tagged at PHP 11,990. On one hand, the Mi MIX 2S will have 6GB RAM + 64 GB and 6GB RAM+ 128GB options, for PHP 27,990 and PHP 29,990 respectively, in two colors: black and white. The latest flagship phone will in June 2018 Both models will be up for sale at authorized Mi Stores and Lazada.
