With the school year coming into full bloom, students of the country’s select universities get another way to show their love for their schools in the Hyundai i20 Cross Sport University Tour. Hosted by Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Hyundai cars in the Philippines, the University Tour gives students a chance to cheer for their schools while showing their talents through the i20 Cross Sport “Show your School Spirit” Decal Design Contest.
Students of Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University Manila, University of the Philippines Diliman, and University of Santo Tomas aged 18 and above may join the contest and display their creative prowess. Winners will bring home 50,000 pesos each. Plus, they will get their share of fame as their designs will be produced on an actual i20 Cross Sport model, and will then take the spotlight in their respective campuses during the Hyundai i20 Cross Sport University Tour.
With features that challenge current car segments, the i20 Cross Sport sets a new trend and introduces new value to the automotive market. A premium ride for active and adventurous motorists, its features match the students’ youthful energy and desire to stand out.
Students must show their creativity in designing decals for the i20 Cross Sport, injecting their school’s distinct identity while also flaunting the crossover car’s best features.
The i20 Cross Sport has the design of an SUV, with a high ground clearance of 170mm and side arch protective mouldings to take on all known roads. Its spacious cabin and 60:40 split folding seats make for a comfortable ride with ample storage, like a versatile hatchback. Under its hood is a 1.4 CRDi Diesel Engine that gives solid pull and the fuel economy of a sedan. A 1.4 Kappa MPI gasoline variant is also available on the i20 Cross Sport.
Four (4) winners will be named, one from each participating university. Each participant may only submit one (1) design entry, and must do so through the i20 Cross Sport “Show your School Spirit” Decal Design Contest App in the Hyundai Philippines Facebook Page on or before October 30, 2015.
