Suzuki-Wheeltek Racing Team and Suzuki-VMan Racing Team land multiple podiums at the second leg of the National Motorcycle Championships.
Displaying unmatched strength on the racetrack, Jacq Buncio of the Suzuki-Wheeltek Racing Team earned back to back to back champion wins on her Suzuki GSX-R1000R at the Philippine Superbike (PSBK) Races–the Philippine Superbikes National (Nationals) Rookie Category and the Philippine Superbikes Cup (Pirelli Cup) Heavyweight A Class. Suzuki-VMan’s Djereck Ondillio, meanwhile, nabbed 2nd spot for the MotoIR Championships Novice Category.
Buncio recorded an excellent lap time in the qualifier, securing a pole position at the Pirelli Cup Heavyweight A Class despite the challenging weather. During the two 7-lap races of the Pirelli Cup, the young rider surpassed her best lap time in the time trial thanks to the power of the lightweight GSX-R1000R. Buncio notably won 3rd spot on the first leg of the Pirelli Cup Heavyweight A Class and maintained her position at the top spot for both the Nationals pre-final and final races.
Coinciding with the PSBK Leg is the MotoIR Championships wherein Suzuki-VMan Racing Team’s Djereck Ondillio grabbed 2nd Place for Novice Category with the rest of the team, April King Mascardo, Eane Jaye Sobretodo and Dan Carlo Alvarado giving their best at the race. The team was onboard the revolutionary GSX-R150, a lineage of the Suzuki GSX-R1000R.
