Targetting the businessmen and executives, the local market will soon have the opportunity of owning and driving the car that was awarded the 2015 European Car of the Year.
Introduced in Europe in November 2014, the 2015 Passat is the 8th generation of a line of large cars produced by Volkswagen since 1973. The Passat has been earning favourable reviews in Europe, particularly for its passenger and cargo space, refined and quiet ride, powerful diesel and gasoline engine variants, and top safety scores.
The Passat offers impressive performance with German-tuned driving dynamics and a responsive and efficient 2.0 TSI engine generating 220 PS, managed by the 6-speed dual-clutch Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmission.
The Passat will be shipped directly from Wolfsburg, Germany, to our shores complete with design and technological touches that would make it an ideal executive car. These include LED headlights; 18″ alloy wheels; Adaptive Chassis Control; 14-way electric seats; a navigation system; rear view camera; Active Info Display gauges; and a panoramic sunroof.
The indicative price set for the Passat is pegged between P2.3 million and P2.8 million.
