    UMA Yamaha Philippine overcame injuries to secure strong middle-of-the-pack finishes at the first race of the Asia Road Racing Champion round in Sepang, Malaysia

    Veteran Masato Fernando suffered a knee injury during a training session in the Philippines prior to the race, while McKinley Kyle Paz was wheeled to the medical center after a hard fall in the second practice session.

    The two managed to get back on their bikes and took home some much need points for the team.

    Fernando managed to earn five point after an eleventh place finish in the first race while Paz was still dominated taking home 10 points with his sixth place finish.

    The second race was a different story for Fernando as he bowed, ending his race in the third lap. Paz on the other hand still managed to salvage six points with a tenth place finish.

    With the results, UMA Yamaha Philippines end round six third overall in the team standing with 123 points. Paz is still second in the riders championship standing with 111 points just eight shy from the leader, while Fernando falls to sixth with 77 points.
