In line with efforts to bring Nokia fans only the best mobile experience, HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, warns consumers about counterfeit Nokia phones being sold in physical stores and online shops.

“We want to remind Nokia fans to stay wary of fake products as they do not meet the quality standards of genuine Nokia phones. Counterfeit phones employ substandard craftsmanship and low-quality components and technology, and are not covered by Nokia mobile care services.

These products are therefore unable to deliver on our promise of a phone you can rely on,” said HMD Global Philippines Country Manager Shannon Mead.

HMD Global reminds Nokia fans to “Be Original, Buy Original” and practice vigilance, in particular to check color variants and be wary of very low prices.

The Nokia 3310 2G is available in gloss warm red, gloss yellow, dark blue and gray while the Nokia 3310 3G comes in matte warm red and matte yellow, graphite and azure. Both are available for PHP2,590.

Meanwhile, the Nokia 8110 4G comes in traditional black and banana yellow, and lists at PHP3,990. Nokia 1,  the recently released among the models indicated above, runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition) and comes in warm red and
    dark blue for PHP3,990.

All these models support dual-SIM and comes with 12-month local warranty. Take note that genuine Nokia mobile phones have the name HMD Global written on the battery, unlike fake versions that use the Nokia branding instead. Original Nokia mobile phones also have an NTC sticker on the side of the packaging.

Consumers may purchase genuine Nokia phones from official Nokia mobile concept stores, kiosks and exhibits nationwide.
