Xiaomi is officially back in the Philippines, and it has the much anticipated Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 Plus in tow.
With the goal of making technology accessible to everyone, the global brand renews its commitment to the Philippine smartphone market where it has amassed a huge following. Xiaomi’s philosophy is to provide its consumers the best specs, quality design and build, and honest pricing through its cutting-edge devices. And all these ring true in the Redmi 5A and 5 Plus.
Dubbed “the entry-level smartphone king,” the Redmi 5A has features that make it worthy of the throne. It has a plastic body with a metallic matte finish, giving it a premium feel. Its front is occupied by a 5-inch HD display and an f/2.0 5 MP camera above. Adding firepower into the device is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor that works alongside 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM–expandable via its microSD slot (a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM version will also available). Among the highlights of the Redmi 5A is its 13 MP rear camera. Its rear sensor has Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and f/2.2 aperture built in for photos that won’t disappoint. The device is powered by a 3000 mAh battery, which is expected to get you through a day of moderate use.
The device will be available on the official Lazada Mi Store starting 15 March 2018 with a promotional launch price of PHP 4,390. It can also be purchased via Shopee and authorized Mi stores at PHP 4,590.
