Creating buzz with its reveal at the 2018 MWC, the ZenFone series that got fans in a frenzy has finally arrived in the Philippines.
Dubbed the most ‘Intelligent ZenFones’, the new ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone 5, and the ZenFone 5Q are set to shake up the smartphone market with their powerful hardware, amazing cameras, and aggressive pricing the series has been known for.
The 2018 ZenFone 5 series is a nod to the first gen ZenFone 5, as it is geared towards championing user experience and mobile photography anew.
ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone 5
As the flagship phone in the series, the ZenFone 5Z ushers in an exciting era for mobile devices with its 6.2-inch display with 19:9 aspect ratio giving users 90-percent of screen to explore. It utilizes the latest Snapdragon 845 mobile platform. featuring a 3rd Generation AI platform that includes the Hexagon 685 Vector DSP, Adreno 630 Graphics, and Kryo 385 CPU to provide power-efficient and intelligent processing of tasks. All these are boosted by 6 GBs of RAM and a 128 GB ROM, making for outstanding performance without putting strain on the battery.
The ZenFone 5Z also makes use of the Snapdragon X20 Gigabit LTE modem, to deliver ultra-fast internet speeds as well as integrated 2×2 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 as added connectivity options.
Meanwhile, the ZenFone 5 flaunts a premium form factor that comes with a dual-camera system built in, and is powered by the latest Snapdragon 636 mobile platform. Giving heavy users an extra boost when in game or app is the brand’s AI Boost which optimizes performance in these instances.
Both phones are headlined by AI-powered dual-camera systems that adapt and learn to capture the most amazing shots. These flagship Sony IMX363 sensors with large 1.4µm pixels, f/1.8 wide-aperture lens, 120° wide-angle secondary cameras, four-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) and AI-enhanced camera features–including AI Scene Detection for 16 different scenes and objects, AI Photo Learning, Real-time Portrait, and Real-time Beautification—pushes the boundaries of mobile photography, allowing creative freedom.
The ZenFone 5 retails for PHP 19,995, while the ZenFone 5Z will come with a PHP 29,995 price tag and will be available locally starting June.
ZenFone 5Q
The ZenFone 5Q is a 6-incher that features a capable quad-camera system complete with high-resolution and wide-angle cameras front and back. It has a 20 MP Sony sensor upfront and a 16 MP camera at the rear, both of which work alongside secondary 120° wide-angle cameras to create photos that are detailed and vivid no matter the setting.
It is fitted with a full HD+ IPS display, boasting a Full View 18:9 aspect ratio and an ultraslim bezel, allowing it to be compact despite its generous screen real-estate. The whole lot is run by a Snapdragon 630 mobile platform combined with 4 GB RAM and 3300mAh battery, making for a daily driver you can trust. It is also equipped with NFC, triple-slot SIM/microSD card holder, rapid face unlock, and fingerprint recognition.
The ZenFone 5Q comes with a tag of PHP 16,995 is already available to purchase.
Alongside the launch of the new Asus ZenFone 5 series, the brand also announced the opening of its 100th store located in Ayala Malls Feliz, Marcos Highway.
