Addressing the growing demand of consumers for a seamless 4K entertainment experience and mobile gaming at home, Linksys launches a new generation of Wi-Fi mesh router.

Known as the Linksys MR8300, the tri-band gaming mesh Wi-Fi router has a 93% lower ping time than its competitors in a multi-user environment. It delivers up to 2.2 Gbps of Internet speed and is powered by a 716 MHz quad-core processor, improving overall network performance on wired, wireless, and WAN to LAN connections. It is ideal for homes that require massive bandwidth.

Giving users the flexibility to extend their Wi-Fi coverage in their homes and cover any dead spots, the router can be used together with the Linksys Velop nodes. Two or more nodes also link to each other and the Internet which forms a single, unified wireless network. It adjusts Wi-Fi bands and channels based on the user’s behavior and supports one network name and password, one admin login, one interface for management and monitoring, and one guest network.

“Asia Pacific accounts for an impressive 52% share of the global mobile gaming market and is set to generate over $72.2 billion by the end of 2019. With this number only set to grow yearly, Linksys is poised to deliver networking solutions that match consumer demands,” said Jason Villados, country manager, Linksys Philippines.

The MR8300 Tri-Band Gaming Mesh WiFi Router is now available at selected branches of Octagon Computer Superstores, Microvalley, Silicon Valley, Villman Computer stores, DataBlitz, and Thinking Tools for PHP 10,995. It’s also available online through Lazada where customers can score freebies from Belkin and a Linksys gift card worth PHP 8,700. The promo runs from September 30, 2019.
