CBMS leaders with Epson Senior Marketing Executives EJ Sulit and Camille Coronel pose with Representative-elect Lucy Torres-Gomez during the 10th CBMS Philippines National Conference at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
The 10th CBMS (Community-Based Monitoring System) Philippines National Conference was recently sponsored by Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) as part of its corporate social responsibility.
CBMS serves as a tool for local governance, complements the national poverty monitoring system, and provides policymakers and program implementers good information base for tracking the effects of macroeconomic reforms and various policies.
“Epson is eager to support initiatives that aim to empower communities,” said EPC Head of Marcom and PR Donna Ferro. “We do what we can to contribute to a brighter tomorrow for Filipinos,” added Ferro.
This year’s CBMS National Conference revolved around the theme “Building Safe, Resilient, and Proactive Communities.” The gathering placed relevant focus on the challenges brought by the natural calamities in 2013.
