Joining the bandwagon of online ads, Pinterest is now on the testing stage of putting up “promoted pins”. Promoted pins work by including a paid pin on the search results when you look for things on Pinterest. When you look up “Halloween” for example, a pin of a Darth Vader costume from a costume shop might be included in the results.
I’m an avid Pinterest user, and personally, I wouldn’t mind ads on my feed as long as they aren’t intrusive. Founder and CEO Ben Silbermann is determined to keep promoted pins tasteful, transparent, and relevant.Well as long as I don’t have flashy banners on my feed, count me in!
