According to Reuters, Samsung is planning to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 before the rival company Apple, releases iPhone 6S to recover after a weak percentage of sales for the past second quarter this year.
Samsung will launch Galaxy Note phablet in mid-August. This upcoming launch is earlier compared to the traditional timetable of Samsung when it comes to releases which is usually in the month of September.
Because of this early launch, Samsung see this as an edge to their rival company, Apple, since Apple plan to launch a new line of products by the end of the year.
Last year, Samsung annual profit’s “hit a three-year low as smartphone earnings slumped.”, according to Telegraph UK.
“I don’t know how much the earlier launch will keep boost the company’s average selling price for smartphones, but this suggests that Samsung will work hard to maintain its market share for the high-end market,” said HDC Asset Management fund manager Park Jung-hoon.
