Smart is now offering the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in PH

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is once again beefing up its portfolio by offering the iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular and iPad mini 3 with Wi-Fi + Cellular under its diverse range of data plans.

The iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 will both be available starting at Plan 1499. This flexible plan comes with 85 hours of internet surfing every month. An initial cash-out of PHP 7,200 and PHP 2,700, respectively, will apply upon subscription.

“We are delighted to offer to subscribers the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3, two powerhouse devices that work best with Smart’s largest broadband network in the country,” said Michele Curran, FVP for Data and International Services at Smart. “With these new iPads powered by ultrafast Smart LTE, users will be able to enjoy the best of mobile entertainment whenever and wherever they may go.”

iPad Air 2 is touted as the thinnest tablet in the world—weighing less than a pound. It packs with it a new anti-reflective Retina display, all new iSight and FaceTime HD cameras, A8X second generation 64-bit chip delivering improved CPU and graphics performance, faster Wi-Fi and LTE wireless, and Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor.

All-month surf

The iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 are also available on Plan 1999 and Plan 1799, respectively. This comes with 3.5GB of mobile data every month plus All-Month Surf. An initial cash-out of PHP 7,200 and PHP 2,700 will apply, respectively.

Subscribers who access bandwidth-heavy online activities such as downloading and streaming, the data they consume will be counted against their monthly volume allocation. According to Smart, once their volume data runs out, they will no longer be able to access these services but can continue to do basic Internet surfing thanks to All-Month Surf.
