It turns out Yahoo! isn’t quite through with all the acquisitions it’s been doing ever since Mayer took post as CEO. Its most recent purchase is an image recognition startup called IQ Engines, whose focus is optimizing search and organization for photos on the web.
IQ Engines has announced on their website that they will be “joining the Flickr” team and that they will no longer be registering new customers. They will allow those who have an existing account to continue using the API for 30 days.
