    PLDT and Smart Communications installed a new video call facility at the Department of Trade and Industry–Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (DTI-FTEB) office in Makati Tuesday.

    The facility was installed as part of PLDT and Smart’s consumer welfare desk at the DTI-FTEB office. The facility will be used as another means for PLDT, Smart, Sun, and TNT subscribers to reach and process their concerts faster.

    Officers of DTI and PLDT-Smart, led by Trade Undersecretary for consumer protection group Ruth Castelo and PLDT-Smart public affairs head Ramon Isberto, unveiled the new service.

    “The service augments our existing customer care channels, and helps in resolving subscribers’ concerns faster,” said Isberto.

    The facility will be manned by a DTI-FTEB mediation officer who will assist and guide customers on using it. While a PLDT-Smart customer care personnel is tasked for receiving the call.

    “We are pleased to unveil the PLDT-Smart videophone customer facility here at the DTI-FTEB office. This service is part of our efforts to better inform our consumers and serve their best interests,” said Castelo.

    The facility is located at the 3rd floor of UPRC Bldg., 315 Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, in Makati City and is open for walk-ins customers on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
