ArchivesAsus launches X99 motherboards to give you the edge you're looking for

Gaming is serious business, and you need every little advantage you can get. When it comes to getting every little bit of performance possible out of your components, the world’s leading producer of motherboards has a little something up its sleeve.

Asus lets you unleash the power of Intel’s X99 chipset with their X99-Deluxe, X99-A, and ROG Rampage V Extreme motherboards. With their OC socket, five-way optimization, and a host of other features, they ensure you can get the most out of the latest LGA 2011-v3 Intel Core i7 processors.

All ASUS X99 motherboards are equipped with a brand-new ASUS invention — the patent-pending OC Socket. This unique socket includes extra pins that connect proprietary circuitry to extra contacts found on Haswell-E’s land grid array (LGA), and is 100% compatible with Intel’s new LGA 2011-v3 (‘Haswell-E’) processors. In combination with the ASUS UEFI BIOS, OC Socket enables higher DDR4 memory frequencies, lower latencies and enhanced stability while overclocking, extending all the way to extreme overclocking conditions, such as Liquid Nitrogen (LN2).Users are also able to increase DDR4 memory frequencies to 3200MHz and beyond, even with all eight DIMM slots populated.

The Flagship X99 Series, with the bundled Asus Hyper M.2 x4 expansion card for ultra-fast wired and wireless data speeds, and Asus Fan Extension Card makes your  gaming rig perform like the beast you want it to be.

All new X99 Series motherboards also feature Crystal Sound 2 for flawless audio; Turbo LAN technology for lag-free online gaming and productivity; and our renowned UEFI BIOS for intuitive setup and control.

The ROG Rampage V Extreme on the other hand, gives you the ultimate platform for gaming and overclocking.

With it, you get ASUS 5-Way Optimization, Extreme Engine Digi+ IV voltage-regulator module (VRM), DirectCU direct-contact cooling, X-Socket II and Fan Xpert 3 technologies, along with numerous intelligent onboard sensors. ROG’s new X99 motherboard takes the latest connectivity features to extremes, with dual 10Gbit/s SATA Express ports, a built-in 32Gbit/s PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 slot and 802.11ac Wi-Fi with a three-transmit, three-receive (3×3) antenna configuration.

Rampage V Extreme also includes multiple technologies to deliver best gaming experiences. SupremeFX 2014 ensures flawless audio, Intel Gigabit Ethernet and GameFirst III combine forces for no-lag networking, and KeyBot grants gamers an instant keyboard upgrade. Exclusive Gamer’s Guardian components provide multiple real-world protections for users.
