Thousands of families whose lives were turned upside-down by the recent rains brought by the southwest monsoon, and made worse by typhoon Marning were given much-needed assistance thanks to the Epson group of companies. The Epson group donated PHP 1 Million to the Philippine Business for Social Progress, and joined the relief operations at abitac, Laguna and Casiguran, Aurora. The team from Epson, headed by Environmental Manager Joyce Tan, was able to help the effort reach 1,725 families in the different areas.
