Google has finally seen fit to release the Nexus 5, and the good news is that all the specs it was rumored to have are true. It has a 4.95 inch screen which we’ll just call an even 5, an 8 megapixel main camera, 2GB of RAM (so it’s not the 3GB beast we were hoping for), and your choice of 32 o 16GB of storage. It will have a quad-core, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, wireless charging, LTE connectivity and a 2,300mAh battery. It’s also bristling with connectivity options, bearing everything from NFC, to Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Google has chosen to leave out the microSD card slot, which is a shame, but the price tag, starting at an attractive USD349 for the 16GB version, is pretty hard to beat, considering this LG-made bad boy can roll with all of the current-generation flagships. Amazing as it is, the killer feature really is the price, which lead to the phone selling out minutes after it went live. If you want some of the 4.4 KitKat awesomeness that is the new Nexus, you might have to wait a little while. No word has been given as to the availability of the device here in the Philippines, though factoring in shipping and handling from the U.S., it’s still a pretty good deal.
