The PhilBike Expo, the country’s first and largest trade and consumer show dedicated to the promotion and development of cycling and related industries, kicks off on November 25 at the SMX Convention Center.

The event brings together over 100 cycling and cycling-related brands for long-time enthusiasts and beginners alike to get acquainted with the brands through unique indoor activities.

To mark the Expo’s third year of raising appreciation for cycling, the organizers have brought in big names in the world of cycling.

Kenny “The Magician” Belaey is a 33-year-old veteran of trail cycling who debuted in 1992. He has brought the sport to mainstream consciousness through his constant innovation. He is the record-holder for most World Championships and World Cup medals won.

Belaey’s latest film entitled “Balance” sees the cyclist cross a slackline in the French Alps which other cyclists have yet to accomplish.

Also featured in the convention are the Japanese Superkids, Yu Shoji and Takumi Isogai with their mentor, the legendary Viki Gomez. The Superkids have made a name for themselves in the Flatland category at a young age for their flair and great technical skill.

Shoji, aged 14, was the first place winner of the 2015 Voodoo Jam while Isogai, aged 15, was the first place winner of the 2014 FlatArk Expert.

Tickets are available at the SMX Convention Center at PHP 150 each, with children aged 12 and below entitled to a 50 percent discount. Toddlers three feet tall and below can come in for free.

The PhilBike Expo is the only international-standard trade and consumer cycling show in the Philippines.
