Honda Car Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) officially launched the all new upgraded City last May 22nd at the City of Dreams Paranaque City.
Powering the Honda’s bold new car is a 4 cylinder, 16-valve, 1.5-liter i-VTEC SOHC 4-cylinder engine whose displacement features a programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI). The engine is able to produce 120PS at 6,600rpm and 14.8kg-m of torque at 4,800rpm. The City runs on either 5-speed Manual Transmission ( for the base E variant ) or Honda’s Earth Dreams developed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). For smart and fuel efficient driving, the car also comes integrated with the brand’s Eco Assist System that includes the ECON button and an eco-coaching ambient meter.
Sporting the Honda City’s all new bold and sophistic exterior are angular lines, creases, and a sculpted stunning shape. The LED headlights, LED Fog Lights, and LED Daytime Running Lights make sure the car’s stylistic presence is coupled with safety. Complementing the City’s sharp exterior style are 5-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels, the newly designed, commanding front grille, a stunning rear, and a shark fin antenna. On the other hand, the interior features a comfortable cabin design with leather seating to assure that the City’s premium look is preserved.
The all new Honda packs features that balance convenience with style. Included in its line of innovative driving features is the multi-view reverse camera for additional visibility. Adding to that are other technologies such as the vehicle stability and hill start assist, an emergency stop signal, and the durable G-Con Structure.
The New City is available in the following colors: Lunar Silver Metallic, Gold Brown Metallic (VX, VX+ only), Ruby red Pearl Pearl (VC, E CVT only), Tafetta White, Modern Steel, and Crystal Black Pearl (VX, E CVT, E MT only).
The City’s suggested retail price are as follows: PHP 764,000 for the 1.5 E MT, PHP 804,000 for the 1.5 E CVT, PHP 913,000 for the 1.5 VX Navi CVT and PHP 1,003,000 for the 1.5 VX+ Navi CVT.
