MobilityFerrari 812 Superfast Makes its Philippine Debut

A year after its premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show, Ferrari’s fastest and most powerful steed yet has officially made its much-awaited debut in the Philippines.

In celebration of the 70 years of the Prancing Horse, the Ferrari 812 Superfast ushers in a new era in the brand’s 12-cylinder history. This all-round sports car delivers extreme driving power and pleasure on any road without compromising comfort.

With a new 6.5 L V12 engine under the hood, the 812 Superfast is able to put forth 800 cv and deliver maximum power output @ 8,500 rpm–which translates to a specific power output of 123 cv/l. This power is underscored by a full, rich exhaust sound that uses the acoustic clout delivered by its increased displacement. It produces maximum torque of 718 Nm @ 7,000 rpm, delivering improved drivability and pick-up even at low revs.

Complementing its power are leading-edge control systems and components which contributes to an unparalleled handling and roadholding. It is the first Ferrari to adopt Electric Power Steering (EPS), and a Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system (PCV), which combines electric front-wheel steering assistance with the mechanical concept built around tyre dimensions and the rear-wheel steering. These systems are integrated with the vehicle dynamics control system based on the latest 5.0 version of Side Slip Control (SSC), all of which improve the nimbleness of handling and reduce the vehicle response times.

The 812 Superfast integrates style and aerodynamic function through its multi-functional frontal section, which incorporates a cluster of aerodynamic solutions including active flaps at the front of the underbody, and the rear flank which features an unprecedented aerodynamic bypass to increase downforce.

The interior of the 812 Superfast has also been completely redesigned. The cabin has a sportier, more advanced look with the main components seeming to float. The horizontal dash loops stylishly around the central air vents for a sophisticated, sculptural impression. The new seats are designed to be sportier and more ergonomic, alongside of which a new steering wheel, instrument clusters, the latest infotainment, and air-conditioning units are placed in accordance with the new HMI standards

Units available for viewing at the launch featured the 812 Superfast’s versatility: one unit in Rosso Corsa with classic Ferrari tan interior and the other one in Bianco Avus with Bordeaux interior.
