    Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation sold 5,398 units for the month of October. A 10.9% improvement compared to September sales and is 21.9% high as compared to the same month last year. With this, MMPC set a new record of its highest ever monthly sales for the third consecutive time this year. Apart from this, it is also worth noting that this is the fourth consecutive monthly growth of MMPC for the year since July. MMPC sold 44,800 vehicles for the ten months of the year which registered a 7.6% growth compared to the same period last year.

    Meanwhile, the local automotive industry also posted a record sales for the month of October. Combined reports from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) showed that the industry grew by 5.9% compared to September and a 28.7% increase as compared to the same month last year. The local automotive industry was able to sell a total 28,667 vehicles last month. With this, MMPC captured 19.1% market share, maintaining its strong No.2 position in the industry.

    For the month of October, MMPC performed very well on most segments as it posted significant sales improvement on the passenger cars, light commercial vehicles (LCV) and trucks. Passenger car sales went up by 11.3% with total sales of 1,819 units while year-on-year sales of 14,821 units is remarkably high by 33.3%. This significant growth is vastly attributed to the continued strong sales of the Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedans. These Mirage sub-compact cars offers great performance and fuel economy plus loaded with great features for outstanding value for money.

    Aside from the passenger cars, sales for Mitsubishi LCV continue to surge as it posted a growth of 9.4% compared to its sales last September and 12% growth as compared to the sales during the same period last year. MMPC was able to sell 3,414 units of LCV for the month of October. Meanwhile, sales for Fuso trucks significantly improved by 52.3% compared to September sales.

    MMPC remains optimistic that the company will maintain an impressive performance for the remaining months of the year. “Given our extensive and refreshed vehicle lineup coupled by our marketing efforts and flexible financing plans which make owning a brand new vehicle a lot easier, MMPC is looking forward to another record breaking year”, MMPC First Vice President for Marketing, Mr. Froilan Dytianquin said.
