Suzuki Philippines, Incorporated (SPH) enters 2016 with a full head of steam after experiencing a 52-percent year-over-year sales boost, increased brand awareness, greater market share, rapid network growth, and several awards.

The brand opened a total of 10 new dealerships throughout the archipelago, five of which (Suzuki Auto Pasig, Suzuki Auto East Avenue, Suzuki Auto Sucat, Suzuki Auto Isabela, and Suzuki Auto Naga) are 3S hubs. To further increase their presence in key areas, SPH also inaugurated five satellite showrooms in Chinatown, Legazpi, SM San Mateo, SM Masinag, and SM Taytay. Additionally, the company broke ground for two service and sales centers in Sta. Rosa and Biñan, Laguna.

SPH also launched the all-new Celerio, as well as updated the Suzuki Swift 1.2, Swift Dzire, and Swift Si, all of which contributed greatly to their yearend total. Moreover, the models have won their fair share of awards, with the Celerio and Ertiga winning accolades at the C! Magazine Awards; the Suzuki Swift 1.2 as the Auto Focus Media’s Choice Best Value for Money awardee; the Suzuki Celerio M/T as the Car Awards Group, Inc.’s Basic Subcompact Car of the Year; and the Celerio A/T as the AirAsia Philippines Consumer Awardee.

After all is said and done, though, the Ertiga MPV remained as the brand’s best-selling model. It comprised 3,000 or 30-percent of SPH’s total 10,000 unit sales. Meanwhile, the Swift 1.2, Celerio, and Alto combined for 46-percent of the overall figure.

Shuzo Hoshikura, SPH general manager for automobile, said, “Suzuki Philippines is certainly proud of the record-breaking growth and increase of its market share in the highly competitive automobile industry. We appreciate the overwhelming acceptance of our products and our 2015 achievements fuel us to continue bringing out the best vehicles for our growing market. We are positive that our outlook for the full year 2016 sales will greatly surpass the 2015 levels. This will start with the upcoming launch of the all-new 1.4L Suzuki sedan, Ciaz.”
