Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIP), the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country,  held the second Subaru Ultimate Test Drive (SUTD) on July 12-July 14 at the Mall of Asia Concert Ground.

The event showcased the capabilities of Subaru’s latest lineup of cars through a series of courses.

Car enthusiasts and customers can try out Subaru’s different core technologies such as the EyeSight Driver assist system and Subaru’s all-wheel-drive through Subaru’s global platform.

MIP offered three different driving courses, one for the EyeSight with some road hazards, one for the all-wheel-drive complete with inclines and bumps, and lastly a test drive around the Mall of Asia complex.

Additionally, there were booths from Subaru’s sponsors which gave visitors prizes in exchange for participating in different activities.

With the local success of the Ultimate Test Drive, Subaru already has plans to expand the event to other Asean countries.

“It a benchmarking the Philippines running the SUTD and applying it to other countries, because it was realized that, it was the best way of showing the performance drive for a Subaru car, what makes the brand different,” said Gerry Hernandez, general manager, MIP.

Subaru will be conducting more Ultimate Test Drives in the country for the next few months with events in Cebu, Davao and South Luzon already planned.
