AMD has debuted the new Radeon Pro WX graphics card, the company’s professional-grade, workstation graphics solution. The series is based on the 14 nm FinFET process Polaris GPU architecture which features fourth generation Graphics Core Next technology, 5K HDR support via DisplayPort 1.4, multimedia IP with HEVC encoding and decoding support, TrueAudio Next for virtual reality, and cool, quiet, and energy efficient operation.

Being confident with the Radeon Pro WX’s build quality, AMD has bundled it with 24/7 VIP customer support, three-year limited warranty, and a free optional 7-year extended limited warranty upon product and customer registration.

“Radeon Pro represents a powerful shift towards a holistic approach to design and content creation, giving our customers full creative autonomy, the opportunity to realize gains across the entire ecosystem, and the ability to create free of constraint from proprietary tools,” said Ogi Brkic, general manager for professional graphics, AMD Radeon Technologies Group. “Our line of professional workstation graphics hardware, the Radeon Pro WX Series, is designed to empower the next-generation of exceptional content, intersecting new industry inflection points and enabling creators of all kinds to deliver the art of the impossible.”

Included in the lineup is the Pro WX 4100, Pro WX 5100, and Pro WX 7100.

The Radeon Pro WX 4100 is a low-profile card which features up to 2.4 TFLOPS of performance, 16 compute units, 1024 stream processors, and 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, making it powerful enough for four 4K monitors or a single 5K monitor at 60 Hz. The Radeon Pro WX 5100 delivers an upgraded 3.9 TFLOPS of single precision compute performance, 28 compute units, 1792 stream processors, and 8 GB of GDDR5 VRAM—all the while drawing only 75 W. It’s designed for high-quality, high-fidelity, and high-resolution real-time visualization for industries such as game creation, automotive, and architecture. Meanwhile, the Radeon Pro WX 7100  boasts up to 5.7 TFLOPS of single precision floating point performance, 36 compute units, 2304 stream processors, and 8 GB of GDDR5 memory, making it ideal for professional VR content creators.
