Xiaomi is officially back in the Philippines, and it has the much anticipated Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 Plus in tow.

Redmi 5A
Dubbed “the entry-level smartphone king,” the Redmi 5A has features that make it worthy of the throne. It has a plastic body with a metallic matte finish, giving it a premium feel. The Redmi 5 Plus comes with a Full HD+, 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 resolution, immersing you in quality content whenever, wherever. Framing its gorgeous display is a metal body housing control buttons, a fingerprint scanner on its back, 12 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5 MP front camera with LED selfie-light. The Redmi 5 Plus (4GB RAM + 64GB storage) has a retail price of PHP 9,990, and will be available on 17 March 2018 at authorized Mi Stores, Lazada, and Shopee.

Alongside the launch of the new smartphones, Xiaomi also named Grimalkin Corporation as its official distribution partner in the Philippines. The brand has also announced the opening of the second authorized Mi Store in the country. The SM Megamall Mi Store will join the TriNoma branch in bringing in the newest devices from Xiaomi and catering to the needs of consumers.
