Today, Google Chrome Apps can now be used both in Android and iOS.

As early as September last year, reports of Chrome apps being developed for Android and iOS had been circulating. These were confirmed when Google told The Next Web that they are already in the process of working the compatibility layer for Chrome apps through Apache Cordova, an open source tool.

Cordova allows the programmers to publish the Chrome apps and made the process of  modification for the mobile design, bug fixing and beta testing possible. Chrome can run on Android 4.x but it’s also possible to work with Android 2.2 and 2.3 as well, while on the other hand, it is fully compatible with iOS 7.

Last December 2013, Chrome apps were already released for OS X. On the other hand, publishing dates for Chrome Apps that can run on Windows aren’t official yet.
