Instagram recently updated to version 6.0 introducing a new set of creative tools allowing users to adjust brightness, contrast, warmth, saturation, highlights, shadows, sharpen, and vignette.
According to Instagram’s blog post, “Inspiring creativity is incredibly important to us—and as the Instagram community grows, we’ve been excited to hear requests for more ways to creatively take hold of how your photos look and feel.”
Aside from the new creative tool, double-tapping on a filter brings out the filter slider which adjusts how much of a filter you want to apply on a photo.
If your app hasn’t updated yet, Instagram version 6.0 is available at the Apple App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
