The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) and its spinoff company SEBI Technologies, Inc. (SEBI Tech) are all set to begin the deployment of the T.I.P. homegrown EmpowerED school management solution at Baliuag University (BU) to enable the Bulacan-based school to deliver even higher levels of student services and operational standards.

The partnership was formalized last September 2020 through a virtual memorandum of agreement signing between Angelo Lahoz, T.I.P. senior vice president and concurrent SEBI Tech president and CEO; and Dr. Patricia Lagunda, Baliuag University president.

“Because of this pandemic, schools more than ever need a solution that will help them efficiently run student-related processes, from onboarding to graduation. EmpowerED offers all these and more so that students can focus on their studies, while school administrators can focus on ensuring that they are able to deliver quality education despite the circumstances,” remarked Lahoz.

EmpowerED is T.I.P. ‘s homegrown school management solution that has been in active use and continuous development for over 10 years in both its Quezon City and Manila campuses. Developed by education executives, administrators, and IT specialists, EmpowerED boasts features tailored specifically towards actual school management needs. It is exclusively and dedicatedly managed by SEBI Technologies, Inc., the first spin-off company of T.I.P.

“This pandemic has highlighted the need to improve, digitize, and automate common processes in the university. We are glad that through EmpowerED, we are embarking on a crucial thrust towards a technology-enabled school environment and an improved end-to-end solution for our students. Through EmpowerED, we can complement our existing learning management system and unify our complex school processes,” explained Lagunda during the online signing ceremony.
