Qik is a unique video messaging application which allows users to quickly capture memorable moments in video as they happen, and immediately share them with friends through one-touch recording and instant sharing.
To make the service more enticing, all Smart subscribers in the Philippines can use the Skype Qik Android and iOS apps for free over the next three months, without additional data charges to their prepaid or postpaid accounts.

Skype Qik allows users to instantly capture videos and share them with friends, so they can always be a part of the action, as long as they’re online. You’ll never have to miss another awesome Friday night story, or have to explain that bizarre thing that happened that one time you were driving home. The app has an easy-to-use, intuitive interface that allows quick sharing with friends, as well as pre-defined video replies called “Qik Flicks—“ think instant messenger stickers, but in video form.
Videos shared through Skype Qik will be stored in separate threads for each individual or group, and each video sent can be removed from one device and deleted across the devices of the group’s members. Once a message is two weeks old and everyone has forgotten about it, it automatically disappears.
