Temple Run: Oz hits Google Play and Apple App Store

TechnologyAppsTemple Run: Oz hits Google Play and Apple App Store

After the release of Temple Run 2 earlier this year, Temple Run: Oz hits the app market for both iOS and Android devices.

The game takes players through the world of Oz, where they try to escape the fierce flying monkeys along the Yellow Brick Road. The elements of the game are chiefly inspired by the movie, Oz the Great and Powerful, which is why part of the journey involves riding in hot air balloons in order to get ahold of more coins.

Throughout the game, players will be able to collect keys which will open music boxes that include bonus points and items to help boost your final score. Players get to select which among the collection of music boxes they will open at the end of the game. Mashable spoils us a bit, saying that a wooden music box plays a crucial role in the film by which the game was inspired.

Those who download the game on the first day (yes, right now) will get 1500 coins for free.

This is Imangi Studios’ second collaboration with Disney to create a movie-inspired version of Temple Run, following Temple Run: Brave.

Both iOS and Android versions cost USD $0.99.
