Nokia Philippine recently announced the availability of its lineup of smartphones at different price points: Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 8.1. The three models aim to capture three different markets with different preferences and needs.

    Nokia 2.2

While it is the most affordable in the bunch, the Nokia 2.2 doesn’t scrimp on features. The 5.7-inch edge-to-edge display, with 400nits brightness, maximizes screen surface with discreet selfie-notch that don’t get in the way of smartphone use.

Many smartphone manufacturers now are taking advantage of AI (artificial intelligence) and Nokia opted to incorporate this technology to this model for low-light imaging and Google Assistant. It also comes with a biometric face-unlock feature, which was initially available in more high-end smartphones.

Nokia 2.2 runs on Android Q and comes powered by the quad-core MediaTek A22 CPU chipset, which is designed to deliver battery optimization.

The Nokia 2.2 with 3GB RAM/32GB ROM configuration is available in Tungsten Black at authorized Nokia mobile resellers online and in-store at official Nokia mobile stores, kiosks and exhibits nationwide for PHP5,990.

    Nokia 3.2

The Nokia 3.2 comes in 6.26-inch display perfect for watching videos or playing games. Its most significant selling point, according to Nokia, is its signature two-day battery life. The Adaptive Battery feature introduced in Android 9 Pie helps to manage background applications, which usually cause the lag while using the phone. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 mobile platform and available with up to 3GB RAM/32GB ROM configuration, the Nokia 3.2 is meant to give users a pleasant experience using the smartphone for specific tasks.

What’s notable about the Nokia 3.2 is the use of notification light wherein the power button comes to life to alert users that there could be a message or email. This will allow them to unlock their phone and check their apps.

The Nokia 3.2 with 3GB RAM/32GB ROM configuration is available in Black and is on sale exclusively at Shopee. Every purchase comes with a free Shopee discount voucher worth PHP1,000, reducing the original price from PHP7,990 to only PHP6,990 upon check-out.

    Nokia 8.1

    Nokia 8.1

Nokia 8.1 is the latest in Nokia’s flagship lineup and is said to be the first Nokia smartphone to receive Android Q update.

Nokia 8.1 is positioned to have the best camera using ZEISS Optics and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Its low-light imaging performance comes from its 12-megapixel main camera with ZEISS Optics and has a 1/2.55=inch super-sensitive sensor with large 1.4-micron pixels for light capture. OIS technology and auto-focus features minimize blurred or shaky images.

It also has PureDisplay screen technology and HDR 10, which Nokia says delivers higher contrast, great clarity and over a billion individual colors to ensure images remain accurate even in dark rooms or out in bright sunlight.

With all the premium features, Nokia wants to ensure that the juice or battery won’t prevent users from having a good experience using the phone. It is said to last for up to two days in a single charge. To achieve this, the brand combined a strong battery with Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. It has 35% faster in graphics processing than its predecessor. Its AI power comes from the multi-core AI engine that employs a brand-new architecture for efficient performance.

The Nokia 8.1 with 6GB RAM/128GB ROM configuration in Iron Steel color combination comes exclusively through Lazada for PHP 19,990. First 700 customers can get a free Philippine Airlines (PAL) travel voucher worth PHP 1,000 valid for local flights and an extra special treatment card for after-sales support with VIP services. In addition to these freebies, the first 300 customers are also entitled to free shipping nationwide.

    Nokia 8.1

The Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 8.1 come with Android 9 Pie out of the box and are all Android Q ready. These Nokia smartphones also join the comprehensive lineup of the Android One family, which means they deliver the latest Android innovations and software experiences.

All these Nokia phones will be available starting July 19.
