Charles Angeles Jr., more famously known as iNBiTuiN, recently championed the Philippine Red Bull 3Style National Finals last Oct 9, 2017 at the Valkyrie Nightclub. iNBiTuiN’s most recent win advances him to represent the country in the upcoming 3Style Global Finals in Krakow, Poland.
As a competition open to all, Red Bull 3Style encouraged DJs all over the world to showcase their skills and talent. Starting at equal grounds, Red Bull DJ hopefuls all uploaded a five-minute performance video showcasing three different genres of music.
Local DJs Katsy Lee, Kouta Kutsuma, Jan Musa (D’Mad Tweaker), Charles Angeles Jr. (iNBiTuiN), Novel Fortich (Short), and Gary Bonita (DJ GFlip) made it to final five of the competition. Each were given a sparse 15 minutes to impress judges DJ BYTE (Red Bull 3Style World Champion 2015), Dj Hedspin (2011 Red Bull 3Style World Champion) and the crowd of nearly a thousand. Although each battled it out with all their talent and skill, iNBiTuiN’s innovative technique and ability to keep the crowd entertained led him to be crowned champion. The championships’ first and second runners-ups were Kouta Kutsuma and Jan Musa, respectively.
“I just enjoyed my set. I wanted to pass my energy to the crowd, and I think I was successful in doing so,” said iNBiTuiN. Expressing how excited he was to represent the country in the upcoming 8th Red Bull 3Style World Finals, he added, “ Finally, I’m going to Poland! I’m excited because it’s always like a reunion. Seeing all my heroes there and most importantly, competing and representing the Philippines!”
