Global computer peripherals manufacturer Razer bagged the top prize at CES with the Razer Forge TV. This puts Razer in a unique position in CES history, having won the “Best in CES” award for five straight years.

Engadget, which serves as the official awards partner for the show, picked the Razer Forge TV as the “Best Gaming” product this year, which lines up perfectly with the “People’s Choice” award, which is determined via open voting.

“The Razer Forge TV is a solution that brings the best of PC gaming and streaming entertainment into the living room,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “We successfully engineered a micro-console in an elegant form factor with sufficient power and connectivity required of hardcore gamers, with peripherals that uniquely enable high-performance gaming in a casual home environment. With the additional ability to stream movies and other media, and to play the best Android games directly on one’s TV, the Razer Forge is truly a micro-console for the next generation of gamers.”
Multimedia content and Android games from Google Play are powered by the device’s quad-core Qualcomm CPU and dedicated GPU. Razer Forge TV will also bring hardcore PC gaming into the living room with its Razer Cortex: Stream software and Razer Turret lapboard.
The device will be available starting the first quarter of this year.
