North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the American agency tasked to track nuclear launches back in the cold war is bringing some non-ballistic tidings of good cheer to people everywhere. Together with Google, NORAD is tracking a different kind of projectile through the skies -Santa. Children and families all over the world can now track Santa Claus as he makes his way from the North Pole to the homes of kids everywhere, thanks to NORAD Tracks Santa. NORAD starts tracking Santa at 3:00pm on December 24 (or 2:00am EST, December 24) with animated stop-overs in Calumpit, Manila and Zamboanga. You can follow along using Google Maps, and Google Earth. You can even track Santa on the 24th using your mobile device via Google Maps on Mobile and searching for [santa] on the anointed date.
