It’s been a good start of the year for the world of photography, with multiple cameras being unveiled to the public. Not wanting to be left out of the fray, Fujifilm has a revelation of their own, in the form of the X-Pro1.
The brand new Fujifilm X-Pro1 is one of the most gorgeous systems thus far, sporting a look highly reminiscent of analog cameras. The body is made from solid magnesium alloy and the dials are constructed entirely out metal, which should make the X-Pro1 feel like a real machine in your hands.
This 16-megapixel camera features a APS-C “X-Trans CMOS” Sensor, with a color filter design based on “the natural random arrangement of the fine grains of silver halide in film.” Fujifilm claims that the X-Pro1 can match the performance of full-frame sensors, thanks to its EXR Processor Pro which can now perform at improved speeds and accuracy. It also retains the unique Hybrid Multi Viewfinder technology, which lets you qucikly switch between optical and electronic viewfinders.
And just in case you’re still wondering, this sleek looking cam also features interchangeable lenses, dubbed the Fujinon XF line. Primes are slated to start rolling out at the end of February, which include:
- XF 18mm F/2 R (27mm equivalent)
- XF 35mm F/1.4 R (53mm equivalent)
- XF 60mm F/2.4 R Macro (90mm equivalent)
