If you’ve been waiting and wondering if it actually even existed, well here it is. Say hello to the Nikon D4.

You are now looking at Nikon’s brand new flagship camera, which has been crafted to “emphasize rapid response and seamless operation to help professional photographers consistently capture incredible content.” The D4 lives up to the well-known high performance and quality that Nikon is known for – it has a  16.2-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor, along with newest version of the EXPEED 3 image processing engine.

Targeted towards the “modern professional”, other highlights include a new 91,000-pixel 3D color matrix meter and a ISO range from the standard 100 all the way to a mind blowing 204,800. As already mentioned, speed has also been a a main focus, and the D4 is ready to shoot in 0.012 seconds using JPEG or RAW up to 10fps with full AF/AE or up to 11 fps with AF/AE locked.

The D4 uses a total of 51 focus points to ensure that AF is fast and accurate. Additionally, the new AF sensor can also now detect up to 16 human faces, and is now more accurately able to detect and adjust color, contrast, etc. completely inside the camera.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Interested in hearing more? Yeah we know you are.
