    Sony Ericsson has today unveiled three new Android smartphones, introducing the new Xperia Neo, the Xperia Pro and the Xperia Play.

    Xperia Play

    The Xperia Play, dubbed as the PlayStation Phone, will launch in March. It has a 4-inch FWVGA display with a 480 x 854 resolution, 5.1 megapixel camera, 8GB microSD memory card, with 400MB of internal memory and a 1 GHz Scorpion ARMv7 processor on the inside. It comes in either black on white, both weighing 175 grams.

    Twenty game publishers including big names such as Gameloft, Electronic Arts and Blue Mobile, have partnered with Sony Ericsson to launch games specifically for the Xperia Play.

    Xperia Pro

    The Xperia Pro, will combine a touch screen experience with a slide-out keyboard. It is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ MSM8255 processor and will have a 3.7 inch display with a 854  x 480 resolution. The device features 320MB internal memory, with an 8GB microSD card, expandable to up to 32GB. Three colors will be available for the Pro: Black, Silver and Red.

    Xperia Neo

    The Xperia Neo is the smaller, touchscreen-only equivalent of the Xperia Pro. It is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ MSM8255 processor and will have a 3.7 inch display with a 854  x 480 resolution. It comes with 320MB internal memory and an 8GB microSD card, also expandable to up to 32GB. Three color-ways will also be available: Blue Gradient, Red and Silver.

    All three devices will be running on Android’s latest OS for smartphones: 2.4 Gingerbread. No pricing has been announced so far.
