The Heritage Black Bay Bronze is a diver’s watch powered by Tudor’s very own calibre MT5601–a variation of the first ever Tudor in-house base movement launched in 2015.
With the Tudor calibre MT5601 built right into the watch, robust and precise mechanical timekeeping in all situations and dependability is guaranteed. Some of the many features that come along with the calibre MT5601 are hour, minute, and second functions. Its other notable features include a “weekend proof” 70-hour power reserve as well as an antimagnetic, high precision silicon balance spring. The watch is diver certified up to 200 meters and comes with all the fancy add-ons for failsafe functional performance.
Housing the Heritage Black Bay Bronze is a 43mm in diameter case made of aluminium bronze. This is an alloy often used in naval engineering for parts submerged for long amounts of time and because of its exceptional anti-corrosion properties. The choice of bronze is, in essence, a tribute to the long standing relationship between Tudor and some of the largest navies in the world. Moreover, bronze is a metal that can subtly change appearance depending on the conditions it is subjected to.
The bronze alloy in this watch allows for the development of a patina that is controlled and eventually stabilizing to a dark chocolate tone unique to each watch and depending on the lifestyle of its owner.
