More news from CES today, and this time from Canon. The company has released their flagship Powershot camera named the G1 X, and boy is this thing impressive. The new camera sports a huge 14.3 megapixel CMOS sensor (that already approaches the size of mirrorless and entry level DSLRs)  alongside an insanely high 12,800 ISO. The 4x 28mm lens has an aperture range of f/2.8-16 which makes the G1 X able to handle nearly every shooting condition that amateurs would ever encounter. The camera is also able to shoot in the RAW format and like Canon’s other digital cameras, can shoot 1080p video and is able to take a variety of accessories like Speedlite, Macro Twin Lite or the Macro Ring Light flashes. The G1 X also comes with a 3.0-inch vari-angle LCD with 922,000 dots of resolution allowing users to view their shots in excellent clarity. The Powershot G1 X is reportedly shipping with a $799.99 price tag and will start dropping in US stores in February. No word on local availability or pricing so far.
