Dell unveils their ultrabook – the XPS 13

ArchivesDell unveils their ultrabook - the XPS 13

Just like clockwork, Dell has unveiled their entry to the ultrabook category – the XPS 13. Just like its competitors, Dell’s offering is an ultrathin device, which measures at only 6mm at it’s thinnest point. Dell has opted to go with an alumnium – carbon fiber composite mix instead of an all metal design that its competitors use, which cuts the overall weight of the device down to about 1.36 kilos. The XPS 13 uses a 13.3-inch HD WLED, 300-nit (1366×768) display that is edge-to-edge hardened Gorilla Glass, with two possible processor choices: an Intel Core i5 2467M or a beefier, i7 2637M. Users will also be able to choose between 128 GB SSD or 256GB SSD for storage. Regardless of the configuration though, the XPS 13 will ship with 4GB DDR3 SDRAM memory. The XPS 13 will retail in select markets in March. Dell has not mentioned the price of this bad boy unfortunately.
