LG’s beating themselves at their own game as they added some new gems to their 4K OLED TV lineup during the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The company now stands with seven different Ultra HD OLED televisions in their arsenal – flexible, curved, and flat units with screen sizes ranging from 55, 65, and 77-inches diagonally.
All of these TVs feature LG’s innovative WRGB technology. This adds a white sub-pixel to the existing reds, greens, and blues to project lifelike colors with infinite contrast ratio. They also arrive with LG’s Optimized True Color technology for consistent color quality even through variations in brightness. These OLEDs also ensure that off-center viewing is still as pleasurable and immersive with little to no loss in colors and contrast. A maximum response time of 0.001ms is standard with these panels, 1,000 times faster than regular LCD flat panel televisions.
The bodies of LG’s 4K OLEDs follow the company’s Art Slim design philosophy for a sleek and aesthetically simple package. With minimal bezels and a transparent stand, these screens appear to float and are perfect for any home design. Their backs are devoid of any fasteners or holes for a flawless-looking hunk of technology.
Backing up the impressive visuals is a sound system that’s impressive to say the least. Developed in partnership with Harman/Kardon, the LG OLED TVs booming audio comes from a 4.2-channel speaker setup made better with LG’s ULTRA Surround System.
Every 2015 LG 4K OLED TV ships with the company’s trademark smart TV platform, webOS 2.0. This OS is simple and easy-to-use, allowing users to tweak its Launcher Bar so favorite items are always accessible.
Proof of LG’s television expertise are three honors from the Consumer Electronics Association 2015 CES Innovation Award for their LG’s 77-inch Flexible 4K OLED TV (model 77EG9900), 65-inch Floating Art Slim CURVED 4K OLED TV (model 65EG9600), and 55-inch Floating Art Slim Flat 4K OLED TV (model 55EF9500).
