    Day 1: Unveiling The Ingredients

The first day of HALO HALO 2024 kicked off with an opening prayer, followed by Ma’am Sud who delivered a heartfelt welcome address.

The exhibit had more than 100 artworks posted near the entrance of the event from at least 100 artists. Aside from the traditional artworks, HALO HALO 2024 also had a wonderful solution for those who were not able to attend. They also have a website that had at least 300 artworks in it, so those who weren’t able to attend were in for a special treat.

After some time, the Malayan Dance Crew entered and wowed the audience with an energetic intermission performance, setting the stage for the introduction of the exhibit and one of their beneficiaries, including Young Focus, a non-governmental organization in Tondo, Manila, dedicated to providing education and development opportunities for children.

The first guest speaker for the day was James Arboleda from Snipple Animation, who led a fascinating seminar and workshop where he encouraged artists to work hard and draw as much as they can because there will always be someone who’ll be better than us. Meanwhile, Larah from Takopiie continued the momentum with her insightful presentation where she said that if you ever have artists’ block, you can just sleep it off first then try again later. The day also featured interactive intermissions, including a trivia mix and a giveaway event, making it both educational and fun.

    Day 2: A Harmonious Blend

Some of the highlights of Day 2 were the many giveaways and intermissions such as a trivia mix for the attendees. This game was advantageous for those who knew a lot of memes, because most of the trivia that had to be guessed were from movies or famous lines by actors and actresses.

The guest speakers for this day were Isaiah Cacnio and Lei Melendres, who captivated the audience with their seminar, followed by an interactive Q&A session. The day concluded with more trivia and giveaway events, ensuring everyone left with smiles and new knowledge.

    Day 3: Savoring the Experience

The final day of HALO HALO 2024 was the grand celebration, not just for art, but also for the staff themselves. The program began with the introduction of the exhibit and their second beneficiary, LoveYourself. The guest speakers for the day were Gerald Pesigan and Seline Abanto, who mentioned the technical aspects of drawing and designing, which was extremely helpful for new artists or those who don’t know where to start.

The event also featured an artwork showcase, where the incredible talent of over 100 participating artists was on full display. There was also a short film showing in the afternoon, and one of the notable titles was Ito ang Thrift. The closing program included a documentary about HALO HALO and the event highlights, providing a heartwarming end to the three-day celebration.
