The signals converged as the PUP Junior Marketing Executives successfully mounted DECIPHER: Between the Lines, Beneath the Minds on June 19, 2026, bringing together marketing students, industry professionals, sponsors, media partners, and future marketers for an immersive exploration of subliminal marketing and its influence on consumer behavior.
Designed to decode the unseen mechanisms behind consumer choices, DECIPHER challenged participants to look beyond visible messages and uncover the subtle signals that shape preferences, memories, and purchasing decisions.
Leading the initiative were the PUP JME Executive Board and Body, headed by project chairwoman Christle Raphie Jewell G. Go, alongside the dedicated project heads: Maegan V. Barrid, Rozoelle Anne D. Valdez, Allysha Nicole G. Gulayan, Bryce Alfred J Uno D. Durano, and Christian P. Evangelista. Their collective efforts transformed the concept into an engaging academic experience that bridged marketing theory with real-world application.

The event formally commenced with the opening remarks of project chairwoman Go, who encouraged participants to critically examine the ethical dimensions of persuasion and influence in marketing. She reminded attendees to continuously question the line between effective marketing and ethical persuasion, emphasizing that awareness remains one of the most important tools in navigating today’s highly persuasive marketplace.

Guiding participants throughout the transmission were event hosts Chelsea Rusiana and Lynuel Escama, whose energy and professionalism ensured an engaging experience from beginning to end.
DECIPHER featured insightful discussions by industry professionals and marketing practitioners who helped participants decode the psychology of influence and consumer behavior.
Delivering the keynote speaker transmission, Prof. Agustin Miguel Borromeo challenged the conventional belief that consumers make entirely rational decisions, emphasizing that consumers often perceive their choices as rational even when subconscious influences are at play.
Guest speaker Justin Piñon further captivated participants through an engaging discussion on how brands quietly shape consumer memory and perception, highlighting that successful brands do not merely compete for attention but establish meaningful spaces within consumers’ minds.
Further decrypting the architecture of persuasion, workshop speaker Carla Cabrera explored how emotions and subconscious associations influence perception and decision-making, emphasizing the importance of building strong brand identities and strategies before execution.
Beyond knowledge-sharing sessions, DECIPHER also showcased performances by the Jambayan Performers, Jesela, and France Manangan, along with guest performers John Sam and A-ON, whose talents enriched the overall participant experience.
Another highlight of the event was the awarding ceremony recognizing outstanding participants in DECIPHER’s pre-event and event competitions:
- DAEMON: Immersing in Simulation, Queueing Senses
- FIREWALL: Configuring System, Authorizing Access
- ECHO: Rendering Reality, Beyond Time
These competitions encouraged participants to apply their knowledge, process new perspectives, and develop innovative solutions through immersive marketing simulations.
As the event reached its final sequence, PUP JME president Jalen Gomez delivered the program’s closing message, reminding future marketers that the true essence of marketing lies not in controlling minds but in understanding people and using influence responsibly.
Though DECIPHER has reached its final sequence, the conversations it sparked continue beyond the program itself. The transmission may be complete, but the signal lives on.
