The United Print and Multimedia Group (UPMG) has officially partnered with Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar Elementary School in Manila for its upcoming reading campaign, “Back to Basic: Flip and Scroll – A Reading Quest for Every Kid on Pages and Screens.”
The campaign, slated to launch by the end of August, aims to promote literacy among young Filipino learners through a combination of printed and digital reading materials. Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar Elementary School is the first school to accept UPMG’s invitation, marking the beginning of what is hoped to be a long-term advocacy for reading and education.
“We’re very happy to have Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar Elementary School as our very first partner,” said Vivienne Motomal, UPMG president. “This is a first step in our effort to make reading more exciting and accessible to children, both on paper and on screen.”
Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar Elem School principal Rizalina Castro expressed gratitude for being the first beneficiary of the project. “We’re honored to be chosen by UPMG. This partnership means a lot to our students, and we’re excited for what’s to come.”
If the campaign proves successful, UPMG plans to bring the initiative to more schools in the future.
