Atome Philippines has partnered with Electronic Commerce Payments Inc. to allow customers to purchase prepaid mobile load directly through the Atome app and pay using their Atome Card. The new service supports Smart, Globe, and DITO prepaid load, adding mobile connectivity to the everyday expenses that cardholders can manage within the platform.
The integration connects Atome users with ECPay’s electronic payment network, which spans digital channels, e-wallets, convenience stores, pawnshops, and local sari-sari stores. ECPay is now part of Mynt, the fintech company behind GCash.
Expanding everyday uses for the Atome Card
Atome said it has issued more than 3 million Atome Cards in the Philippines. Up to 80% of cardholders are first-time card users, while 65% are women.
Most customers use the card for recurring needs such as groceries, food, household items, and utility bills. The addition of prepaid mobile load extends that everyday-use positioning and allows customers to include connectivity expenses in their regular spending.
“For millions of Filipinos, mobile load is an essential part of daily life, critical to how they work, pay bills, and stay connected,” said Maria Patricia Antonia Pascual, president and CEO of ECPay. “This partnership highlights how innovation and inclusion can come together, with ECPay’s nationwide network helping make services more accessible, reliable, and enabling the ecosystem.”
“Together, we are making it simpler for Atome app users to top up mobile load anytime, anywhere,” she added.
Managing mobile load as a household expense
Atome positions prepaid load as a regular household cost that can be planned alongside groceries, utilities, and other necessities. Customers can complete the transaction through the app rather than using a separate top-up channel.
“Mobile load is a monthly fixed cost for almost every Filipino household. It belongs alongside groceries and utility bills as something you plan and budget for,” said Christian Eugene Quiros, president and general manager of Atome Philippines.
“With ECPay now integrated into the Atome app, our 3 million cardholders can top up their load wherever they are and manage it as part of their monthly spending, all while earning Atome rewards points,” he added.
Using ECPay’s payment network
ECPay operates a multi-payment platform for mobile top-ups, bill payments, cash-in services, and other financial transactions. Its network includes around 490,000 partner touchpoints nationwide, including 7-Eleven outlets, pawnshops, and sari-sari stores.
The partnership brings part of that payment capability into the Atome app, giving cardholders direct access to prepaid load purchases through a platform they already use for other expenses.
In Summary
Atome Philippines and ECPay have added Smart, Globe, and DITO prepaid load purchases to the Atome app. More than 3 million Atome Card users can pay for mobile load through the app and earn Atome rewards points on the transaction.
