ACMobility has launched Drive Electric. EV Safety Program, a new learning initiative designed to make electric vehicle information more practical and accessible for Filipino motorists.
The program is open to EV advocates, prospective buyers, fleet operators, and the general public, with a focus on helping participants better understand electric vehicle technology, charging infrastructure, safety, and ownership economics. It is intended to address common misconceptions around EVs while giving consumers more information before making the switch to electric mobility.
“As we continue to build an end-to-end electric mobility ecosystem, our ultimate priority is to empower the Filipino driver to make the shift to a more sustainable and cost-effective transport option,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, chief executive officer of ACMobility.
“We are taking on the commitment to spread EV safety awareness through the Drive Electric. EV Safety Program, which aims to equip Filipinos with practical tools and accessible technical knowledge on EVs.”
Five modules covering EV ownership
Drive Electric. EV Safety Program was developed alongside professional instruction partners and in alignment with organizations including the Department of Energy, Bureau of Fire Protection, Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines, and Philippine EV Community.
Its five-module curriculum covers fundamental EV concepts, total cost of ownership, long-term EV savings, safe charging, emergency protocols, and electric vehicle technology. The program is structured to give participants a clearer understanding of both everyday EV use and the practical considerations involved in ownership.
That broader approach also makes the initiative relevant to prospective buyers who may still be weighing concerns around charging, maintenance, safety, and long-term cost. Fleet operators and current drivers can also use the sessions to better understand operational and emergency considerations as EV adoption expands.
Nationwide rollout planned
Following the launch, ACMobility will roll out the program through a series of targeted educational sessions across the country.
Planned phases include corporate sessions, community workshops, and interactive showcases during major industry gatherings. These sessions will combine technical instruction with hands-on test-drive opportunities, giving participants direct exposure to EVs alongside expert guidance.
The initiative comes as ACMobility continues to expand its role in the country’s electric mobility ecosystem, which includes vehicle distribution, dealerships, automotive servicing, charging infrastructure, and digital mobility services.
Its EV charging network currently spans more than 200 locations nationwide, forming part of a broader effort to improve access to charging and support the transition to electrified mobility.
